Sangit, a multifaceted producer, composer, percussionist, and DJ from Israel,

renowned for his rich and multicultural productions.

His passion for African music and the sounds of the globe has led him to collaborate

with a wide range of artists from different backgrounds and cultures,

Including popular artists from Israel and beyond such as - video mash-up star Kutiman,

Ethiopian legend Mahmoud Ahmed, , Afrobeat drummer Tony Allen and many others.

Sangit has released three full length studio albums over the past 4 years,

Featuring dozens of artists from all over the world.

 

in 2016, Sangit has independently released his first solo EP "AfroLove",

which blended African grooves with a funky, global fusion vibe.

His video and recording work brought him to the attention of Cumbancha,

a global music record label in the US, that signed him to their Cumbancha Discovery

series which seeks to introduce exceptional new talents to international audience.

 

His first full-length album "Librar" was released in February 2020 by Cumbancha,

Blending the influences of African and Afro-Cuban roots music with jazz and funk,

joined by musicians from Mali, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Morocco, and Congo,

as well as Israeli musicians, representing a diverse array of cultural influences .

In 2021 he released another album with Cumbancha - "STUDIO SESSIONS"

a multi-participant musical video art project that combines power and emotion

with the rhythms of different languages and cultures.

10  musical video collages manifesting 10 years of work,

remastered and republished by Cumbancha.

 

In November 2023 Sangit released his third album OOROO,

published by Riverboat Records. This album features some remarkable

guest female singers including Ladino superstar Yasmin Levy,

Brazilian diva Mariene de Castro, Grammy Award winner Dobet Gnahoré and more.

 

Today, Sangit embarks on a new solo project - live afro house DJ set

With some new releases coming up this year. Karma hotel is a ones man show,

Sangit's original afro house music, evolving live on stage with layers of live percussions

and synth lines.

With each of his projects,

Sangit continues to redefine the boundaries of contemporary music,

inviting audiences on a transcendent journey through rhythm, melody, and cultural fusion.
